According to reports, Tedeyev was arrested aboard a Moscow-Simferopol flight the morning of Feb. 21, when the flight crew was ordered to return the plane to Moscow.
“I was flying to Simferopol from the capital, we had been in the air for 30 minutes already, when people dressed in civilian clothing entered the cabin and announced that the plane is going back to Moscow and that I would be taken off the flight,” Tedeyev said, as cited by Lifenews.
“When we landed, I was literally dragged out of the plane. The other people on the flight did not know what would happen to them next,” Tedeyev said.
Tedeyev’s lawyer, Alexander Vershinin, said that the FSB has thus far given no explanations as to why Tedeyev was arrested.
“They told us, if we are unhappy with anything, we can file a lawsuit against the FSB,” Vershinin said.
