Exclusive Interview with Luke Harding, Author of 'Mafia State'

It is dangerous to be a journalist in Russia. It is twice as dangerous to be a foreign journalist and write about Russian intelligence, corruption and other controversial issues. That’s statistically totally incorrect.

Little has changed since the Soviet Union. Luke Harding was the first foreign journalist deported by Moscow since the end of the Cold War.

He wrote a book about his adventures. Our correspondent Nana Pliyeva met with the Guardian journalist in London.
