Over 600 workers, mostly locals, are employed at the construction site, the press service said. Currently the seventh story of the building is being finished.
The construction is conducted in accordance with the most modern European technologies. The interior and the exterior of the parliament building were designed by the Spanish architect Alberto Domingo Cabo.
Earlier, the Georgian Parliament Speaker David Bakradze told journalists that the new Georgian Parliament will be on the same level as the European Parliament.
