The Goldencom company has won the rights to manage the Tbilisi TV tower in an electronic auction, the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported.
The right to manage Alfacom, which operates the TV tower, was sold at an auction for 110,000 lari ($67,000). The Economy Ministry’s Department of Privatization said that the new investor must keep Alfacom’s profile and invest $12 million over the next four years. Goldencom will also be required to upgrade the TV tower’s equipment, introducing the latest telecommunication technology and improving the current services.
The electronic auction on the right to manage the Tbilisi TV tower for four years included only one investor.
